Kansas Annie Y21 was purchased from the Kansas Angus 2011 Cow sale. We identified her as the best descendant of the imported embryo from Summitcrest Annie C022. This Annie cow family is now Angus royalty in the Hardhat herd. We rate the Annie’s equal to any cow family in Australia.
Kansas Annie Y21 soon became the calving ease and Carcass Matriarch of the Hardhat Herd.
Her flush to Sinclair Grass Master resulted is some of the best progeny of the Hardhat Angus program to date.

• Hardhat GM Grass Range Y21 J518 who is now a herd sire at Myanga Angus. Included in ASBP Cohort
• Hardhat GM Agronomist Y21 J516 was an AI Sire within our herd, Purchased by Matt Ryan. Included in ASBP Cohort 6.
• Hardhat GM Jemalong Y21 J519, Purchased by Micheal Leonard.
• Hardhat GM Grass King Y21 K15, had a cover bull career at Hardhat Angus, included in ASBP Cohort 7.
• The females produced from this Sinclair Grass Master flush include, J506, J510, J532 and J541. All donor quality cows.

Kansas Annie Y21 was then flushed to N Bar Emulation EXT. This resulted in two of our best females. J536 and J511.
We are fortunate enough offer two sons of Y21 in our 2018 bull sale by Cherylton Stewie D19. These are genuine stud sire prospects.

Kansas Spice Girl Y97 was purchased from the Kansas Angus 2011 Cow sale. She soon became one of the most influential cows in the Hardhat herd primarily due to her great embryo production record as a donor. She was selected for two reasons when initially purchased – We had a great appreciation for the cow making ability of The Don W57 (Sire of Y97), and Y97 was a descendant of IDEAL 988 OF
692 6296 a cow bred by the Jorgensen Family in Ideal, South Dakota. Brad had experience with many Ideal prefix cattle while working at Sinclair Cattle Co and wanted to add them to the Hardhat Herd.
Kansas Spice Girl Y97 became a longevity and structural soundness matriarch of the Hardhat Herd. Her flush to Sinclair Emulation XXP left us with some of the best cows in the herd. She also produced some of our leading cows by Sinclair Grass Master and SAV Pioneer. Her daughters have formed the foundation of our herd and placed us in a great position with endless breeding options.

Kansas Spice Girl Y97 – Pedigree

N Bar Primrose Y3051 (known as A14) was one of the elite cows originating from the N Bar Ranch in Grass Range, Montana. Brad was able to tour the N Bar in 2010, he also experienced the greatness of the original N Bar cow herd the located with Sinclair Cattle Co. These cows were offered for sale September 2010 aged from 14-20 years of age. Many of these cows were sold to major studs throughout the US. Going on to continue the legacy left by the N Bar herd.
N Bar Primrose Y3051 was identified by Brad as the cow who would add the N Bar Genetics to the Hardhat Herd along with her sire EXT. Two sons of N Bar Primrose Y3051 were sourced, Sinclair Grass Master and Sinclair Emulation XXP.

S A V Blackcap May 4316 was identified as one of the supreme angus cows in the global angus population. Her ability to produce sons which continually improve their respective sire line stands her at the top of the tree.
Initially her sons SAV Resource and SAV Renown were used. Then on further inspection we also used SAV Sensation and SAV Pedigree. Daughters of these sires will have a lasting imprint on the Hardhat Herd.
